Wow. That was brilliant.
I feel like Colbert hadn't quite yet learned what his strengths were at that point, or at least hadn't sharpened them.
But Steve Carell on the other hand, was so brilliant that I think it really shows how much potential he's got left in his acting.
His characters thus far have been beautifully depressing or clueless and he certainly nails it, but one day I hope someone will guide Mr. Carell to balance his skillful sadness and explosive, dynamic emotions perfectly.
He's got a Bill Murray deep inside, I can see it.
20 Bucks Steve Carell gets an Oscar in the next ten years.
